1. One Million
This is the number of job applications that Google receives each year! This is a staggering number considering that Google currently employs only 20,000!
2. Whiteboards
At Google offices whiteboards can be found at many places. The whiteboards are there for Googlers to share their ideas and to visualize concepts.
3. Paperless
Google employees use their laptops to take notes during meetings. By taking notes directly on the computer it is easy to share it with others.
4. 80/20
Google encourages its employees to spend 80% of their time in doing the job they are intended to do. Employees can spend the remaining 20% of the time on their own projects that they believe can add value to Google and its customers.
5. Garage
During its initial days Google was operating from a rented house in Silicon Valley. During this time some employees were intentionally working in the Garage of the house so that one day they can claim that Google had its origin in a Garage!
6. Googol
The name Google is a misspelling for the word "Googol”. Googol is the name for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros.

7. 300 Years
Google’s objective is to organize the world’s information. Google plans to achieve this objective in 300 years!
8. Don’t be Evil
This is the motto of Google. The company wants to create products and services that will enrich the life of Google users. Even if an idea is profitable, Google wouldn’t develop the idea into a product if the product can have a negative impact for Google users. Anything that is evil to the user will not be pursued upon.
