Today, I did a reorganization of the categories in my blog. I had too many categories therefore it was time to reduce them and focus on the core topics that I want to concentrate. As I continue blogging, I am getting a much clearer picture on the direction I want to take this blog. Reorganizing the categories is my first initiative to make sure my blog stays on track with its goals and objectives. The next time when I have an idea for a post I will be checking to see whether that post will fall under any of these categories. If the post doesn’t qualify for a category, I will not be writing that post. This will make sure that I stay super focused on message and content that I am trying to promote in this blog. The following pie chart shows the percentage of posts by category at TechThinker.com. My next task is to rewrite the About Page of this blog.

When you reorganised, did you change any of the categories of any of the posts? will this affect SEO traffic? I really need to do an about page for my blog. I just seem to busy all the time.
@Tom, I did change the categories for some posts. For example, I moved a number of posts from “Blogging” to a brand new category called “WordPress”. I think this will have some SEO impact. But I don’t think it will be major.
The about page is very important. It is definitely worth doing one. Let me know when your page is up.
Glad to see that you have re-organized your categories. It is something I need to do soon.
I find your idea of presenting your posts by their category share, interesting. But as a technology enthusiast and since your domain name suggests you as a tech blogger, I would love to see more of tech posts in coming days…
Bro, great work… but i think you should focus more on tech stuff than blogging, cause i think we can get more traffic by those things! Only bloggers will red blogging articles, but other articles will be read by everyone!
